alright guys, ill be honest if you will...i envy alot of your skills....i wnat to be good at photoshopping, but i hate photoshop lol, i use macromedia fireworks instead, i find the interface much better, and it always seems to work unlike PS....so ive been checking osme tutorials and im attempting to tune up my skills and get better at fireworks......so heres a mirrores image, tell me if it is good, or what i can do to improve it...



i flipped it vertically, and made it wondowy, and dropped the opacity, faded it out...be honest i can take critisism, and i wnat to improve!

lower the reflection's opacity. near half way on both objects(on the text and logo) fade it completely out(erase the bottom half of the text and logo). it's been awhile since my fireworks days, but i DO believe that you can distort things in transform mode. make the bottom left&right edges closer to eachother, just by a little bit.  if you look at my current sig, that is what a reflection should RELATIVELY look like. also add a floor like i have in my current sig.

i'd seriously recommend trying the trial of photoshop again, i used to LOVE fireworks, and i thought i'd never turn. but you start learning photoshop, and all of the things that took forever to complete in fireworks, now can easily be done faster, better, and nicer looking in photoshop. as for vectors(if you use fireworks because of them) photoshop allows vectors in quite a range manner.  good luck

ya but in PS some times it simply wont allow me to do ANYTHING, i cant transform or anything sometimes, i get soi frutrated with it, i just open up fireworks, i cant handle the random times it wont work, i dont no y either, its like i clicked a lock buttong where it wont allow me to do anythign to the pics i bring into it.

P.S- how do u add flooring and such, ot make it lok like its in a room or osmething like yours there?

lols orry another quick question, i bought cod2 for my 360 like 2 weeks ago now, and ive been polaying online and single player alot, y hasnt it shown up in my little 360 gamer tag down there??

there's reasons ps wont let you do things sometimes, Probobly bc you have an Anchor point set, and it qants to transform path. Also your layer could be locker, if it is just click the lock icon next to layer in the layers palette.

PS usually doesent do anything without a REASON so make sure u LOOK around.

thats pretty good but the logo should be sitting on the surface, not hovering about it and it might look better if u didnt use a black background maybe a grey one

you're most likely in quick mask mode.. try pressing "Q" next time it locks up, see if that fixes it. the most widely used graphics program on the market wouldn't just "lock up" without it being your computers problem. but yeah.. it's better..

raise the black half up, and drop the logo and text down so it looks like its sitting on a surface.
