You should check out Dreamhost.com. Brahm2 recommended them as a low cost hosting service in another thread.

By choosing their "L1: Crazy Domain Insane (20GB disk, 1TB bw, $9.95/month)" plan and entering 777 as the "promo code", you'll get their plan for 9.95 for the whole year. The plan also comes with one free domain registration. Make sure your only being charged $9.95 for the whole year prior to checking out.

I've never used them so I cant confirm how good or fast they are, but for the price of what they offer is incredible. I'm also not sure if after the first year is up you be switched to $9.95 a month.

Something to check out.

yeah.. we need to switch hosts SOON.. we're gonna be doing that REALLY soon.. surfspeedy works decent  when it's actually UP, but it has alot of down time..

and about that deal xbox451, it's too expensive for how big we are..and we'd never use that 20GB were we are right now...

You do understand that with the promo code, all you'll be charged is $9.95 for the entire year.

Though, like I said before, I cannot attest to their service quality, and if you look into it, I'd e-mail a rep to see if after your year of service is up, how much it will be monthly to continue.

for the ENTIRE YEAR??!?!? o.O that doesn't sound right...

and does that BW limit reset monthly? or is that for the WHOLE year?

ANOTHER THING: ... there's gotta be SOME sort of scam.. it says on thier main page( http://www.dreamhost.com/ ) that if your refer someone with thier promo code they give to you when you sign up... you get $97 for each person who uses it.. AND then that person who just signed up.. only pays $9/month.. does that NOT sound fishy? how would someone afford doing that?...

I'm fairly certain it does reset monthly. However, since I never actually used the service I cannot confirm the answer. The promotion is probably thier way of attracting new customers, which is a good method. Even if they up price to $9.95 a month after the year is up, your still saving money since for the first year of service all you paid is $10.00.

Its worth it to check it out. Take a look at thier forums to see if theres any complaints about thier service, which is a good way to see if thier reputable.

If you do decide to try 'em, dont forget to enter the promo code upon siging up, otherwise you'll lose out on the deal.

EDIT: In reply to your edit, if you feel its not a good deal then disregard the reccomendation, though it was reccomended from a reputable source.

I understand. Since you guys were looking for a new service, I just decided to reccomend a host that was previously mentioned in another thread. I'm in no way affilated with the host, nor is the promo something I'm part of.

You just might want to keep them in mind in your search of a new host, and possibly find someone who uses them for actual feedback prior to trying them out.

Im trying to remember what thread I saw that on earlier.
When I was reading he needed a new host, that came to mind, but then I saw you posted it and I was like, "damn"
