Hey guys, busy?

I've never had a sig image, but I've had an idea for quite a few months now.  I'd like to see what you guys can do with it.


Type of Graphic: XS sig banner

Colors: whites, pale blues, basically to go with my avatar

Text: Xombe (capital X, lowercase ombe unless allcaps looks better)

Subtext: Maybe something under "Xombe" that's XS related (to be determined later)

Pics: avatar themed, spilled Rx bottle, Valium tabs (any source, some basic here)

Anything else: ...um, quality X-S craftsmanship?


So, the thing is: My avatar source is a 10mg tab of Valium image. I'd like a sig to match.  I'm thinking a lightish, white/pale blue background with a gradient maybe to smooth it... rounded border maybe?

Main foreground theme should be a partially visible prescription bottle on its side, sticking in from the left, perhaps faded into a moderate blur towards the edge. It's open, and little pale blue tablets are spilled out and along the bottom.

Text on the right side offset, a bit on the high side.  Cool looking font.  Maybe the tabs are "bouncing" and fading up towards/(into?) the text.

That's just a veeerry general idea of positioning.  I'd like you guys to take it and make it yours.. interesting.  Use your sense of balance, etc.  I just need a spilled bottle, tablets, something really ingenious integrating the tabs into the whole image/theme (faded background gradient pattern?)... The avatar is the key.

Oh, or what about having the tabs spilling out of the sig bottom as a popout PNG?  Make the main bit 120px high and use the extra 20 for the effect...

That would be slick as shit!

Oooooh, some good things I’m seeing in here.

xboxbox451’s bit with the tab as the “o” in Xombe is awesome.  Could that be combined with iffy’s avatar tab image idea (I like the glow).  If possible I think a photorealistic-ish sig is better (like for the main elements, Rx bottle, tab, tabs) though.

ts gets big points for creativity.

A kind of muted, not quite fuzzy but softer just-a-tad-blurry feeling to the overall image is a good thing (it is Valium, after all... ).

Big thanks to all so far! Feel like working together with the various PSDs for an "open source" sig?  Like some of the best the whole GFX crew has to offer?

I don't intend on changing my sig after this.  If I'm gonna have a banner it's gonna be permanent.

Here's something I made after soaking up all your good ideas... (my apologies, but the color and scoring of the tabs is/was very important to me).



But, I need a border, and more importantly the nick text. I have pretty poor sense with text...

Could you guys give me some examples of what you could do?  I like the newer iffy border and xboxbox451's all caps, kinda subdued text (...Valium, right? ). And let's not forget the avatar (or reasonable facsimilie) for the "O" maybe.

If you're up to it, take what's there and have your nasty way with it.  Surprise me, follow the flow thus far, whatever. I'm not dead set on that image, but rather like how it turned out so far.  I just wanted to dust off PS (I haven't used it since my sister's wedding two years ago).
