Question .. That dvd drive you said it wont eject?? Might wanna check into replacing the Tray motor belt if its a Samsung or a Philips. Might eleviate that problem.

EDIT: Just realized you got it working, there i go again opening my mouth tongue.gif

if i saw your post, i would've replied

i was in Quebec

anyway, i am going to try to do that soldering job today
if anything, i'll have a broken motherboard, and i'd have wasted $30

my first soldring job was a success! the xbox is now happily running XBMC as dash.
pimpmaul69, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I can now add one more skill to my resume

the DVD is still acting wonky, so i'll put that into my personal xbox and will eventually swap it with a better one if i can't fix it

can anyone recomend a good replacement case? I don't care too much for transerant ones, so just looking for something simple.
