I dont like the bevel and emboss. And you should add a border. Other then that it looks pretty nice.

I don't like the B&E on the background.

IMO, the best one is the one with the coloured tux.. not the blue tux.

He LOVED the colors. Didn't dig the text and said it was "too curvy and cartoony," so I gave him this:

Yeah, it's a brush from deviant. VERY easy, took all of 1 mintue to get the colors right.
Now, layer masking Tux was MUCH harder than I thought it would be.

lens flare = eww. you used it pretty conservatively here, which is good, but its just a bleh filter
