Alright I got it to work.. STRG+Z means CTRL+Z another Problem was that my max232 was damaged.. I popped in another one and it was good to go.. Im seriously considering rewriting that tutorial in better english..
I used a female pin header from a Duox2 in wich the chip was quicksoldered so I had it leftover, To make it a 2x4 I pulled the extra pins out and dremmeled the plastic flat. I used an old dvd power cable for wire to connect the wires to the hard drive. The DB9 connection was made with a female jack and cable from radio shack as well.
Power was given from a 5v wall wart from an old linksys router rated for 5v @ 2.5a that I had laying around, and a power brick for a HDconnect (ps2) my inital design was to pull 5v off of the hdconnect PSU but I wasnt sure on how stable itd be, My PCB version wich Im going to be building here shortly will have it set up that way with a switch on it to power on the hard drive when telnet needs it.
