its because its absurd... takes a certain kind of humor to find it the funniest, which absurd humor often is...

as an aside:
people who dont get absurd humor very often mistake it for stupid humor, which is not the case... however absurd humor is very often stupid humor done in a smart way... python for example... the coconut horse in holy grail was stupid, absurd and genius: esp the conversation that later occurred regarding the acquisition of the coconuts... pure comic genius...

This topic started with what I regard as the funniest comic ever then moved to what I regard as the funniest movie ever (holy grail) guess that means I have absurd humor

. But then again I also love the movie "waiting", I dont think that would fall into the absurd humor catagory. Maybe I just like all kinds of humor
