Easy mistake to make and the 360 even uses its RF shield to dissipate some of the heat from the ram chips under the mobo so to think the original Xbox was similar isn't all that far fetched. I'm more concerned about the guy who thinks his Xbox 1 CPU is some sort of nuclear reactor!

it was always my understanding that the reason the shielding was put in by M$ at all was that there were laws about the legal limit of radiation output (by the CPU i think?). i believe the xbox puts out just enough to go over the limit. they most likely put it in there because it was cheaper than messing with the radiation output.
I know what he meant and he corrects himself later in the thread but it still made me laugh.
