Two Broken Xbox's Trying To Make One Work!

Hey everyone, I could use some help on getting one good xbox out of my two bad ones...  

#1) Xbox 1 has a bad EEPROM and will not boot.  Just black screen and it tries to boot three times, then goes to christmas colors.  It has a Matrix2 mod chip and a 80gig HD full of stuff

#2) Xbox 2 is unmoded with a broken origional hard drive (head crash)

Is there any way I can replace the broken HD in the unmoded xbox with my 80gig?  I tried moving over my mod chip and the HD, but I get error 06 which is unable to unlock HD.  The bad news is I dont know the password to my 80gig, and I cant boot it up cuz I think the EEPROM is bad.

Any ideas?

Unlock your drive via PC, using swap method or with unlocker, if its a seagate.

In order to unlock the drive with the PC, dont I have to do a hotswap?  I cant boot either hard drive.  One is bad, and the other is locked...

Xbox 1 sounds like either a bad lpc alignment for the chip or a broken trace...what happens when you boot it with the chip disabled?

Ok, xbox1, with the chip disabled will boot three times, then flash red/yellow.  I dont get any display or sounds.  The power supply fan is the only one on.    It is a pogo pin only mod chip, and there shouldnt be any broken traces because I have never saudered before in this unit.

And on xbox2, I tried putting a unlocked harddrive in there, with my matrix modchip, and a Slayer install DVD, but I get the error that the HD is unlocked.

if you locked that 80gig drive with configmagic then you can unlock it in a pc using the master password TEAMASSEMBLY. Otherwise, im pretty sure evox and other apps set a master password but im not sure what it is.

Hmm, Xbox 1 FRAO's wth chip off, FRAG's with it on. I've heard of this before, usually a broken trace on LPC pin 5, or the dual transistor "Q7R1" is bad. Theres a big thread on it in this forum somehwere.

On Xbox 2, with the chip, check the D0 connection. If it shows Error 5 it means the stock bios is still loading.

Did a search on the dual transistor "Q7R1" and havent been able to find anything.  Im about to pull the MB out and check the LPC connections, and see what happens...
