Techtv Blooper Video
« on: May 31, 2004, 11:36:00 AM »

It's a video of a guy showing a priceless one of a kind phonograph device, he's so nervous his hands shake and he drops it on live television.  It was enough to make me literally laugh out loud at my computer:

Haha, couldn't have worked out any worse for him.

"This is a one of a kind piece, theres no other one like this particular one in the world."

"Oh ffffff.... shit"

Chris Pirillo does a good job of keeping it moving along.

I like that he stopped himself from saying "fuck" on live TV but elected to say "shit" instead... as if that was somehow acceptable.

QUOTE (UberJim @ Jun 2 2004, 02:24 PM)
It isn't a one of a kind thing.  My brother owns something exactly like that, I can even recognize the package in the background.  Maybe I should tell him that it might be worth some dough.

Edit:  I talked to my brother, he does have something exactly like that, but he said how much it is worth depends what is on it.  Makes sense.

so what exactly is it?

It's an old-style wax cylinder... what they used before records.  My dad has quite few.  The problem is, they get really brittle with age, as that guy demonstrated quite clearly in the video.  wink.gif
