Of course, its human nature to feel good when you have more knowledge, money, time, experience, etc, over someone else.  Havent you heard the expression 'Have a Leg up on someone'?  Why do you think we love to see people on TV shows where they are degraded and voted off.  We all love to see the misery our happiness brings others.
