the problem with family guy is that most of the funny partsare all in flashbacks, and there not funny, just stupid. And where could they possible get the idea for a fat, stupid, alcoholic father? Maybe Homer Simpson? No animated cartoon will ever compare to the Simpsons, the writing on the Simpsons is amazing.

are you sure Family Guy was cancelled because the critics thought is was too controversial? I thought I heard that the Exec's thought that there wasn't very much interest in the show, so they cancelled it. Then when the DVD box sets sold like hot cakes, they realized that there was quite the following of viewers, and that maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to make some new shows.

most tv eps are like 14
southpark is usually between 14 and 18

then theres tv shows that are like 7 eps

i think simpsons is up there with southpark

anywyas, famiyl guy is the only cartoon i collect

its adult humour in a cartoon show

it brings back the life of cartoons..
simpsons.. well they fucked up.. last season was horrid... havent even bothered watching them lately.. theyre either not on or its a rerun (yes on fox/global in the correct timeslot)

Family Guy is only funny because of the initial shock value most of the gags have, after you've seen the episode once, laughing again at it just means you're stupid.

The new Simpsons episodes are the funniest they've had in a while. But I don't think I'll ever laugh as hard at the simpsons than I have at Family Guy. When I watch it I literally ROTFL.
