Anyhow my guess is he worked in a Lighthouse and when he turned on the radio he heard a boat had crashed into the harbor because he turned out the light and they could not see.

its not that hard especially when weve all heard it before some time or another...you think ppl actually figure out the answer to riddles? either theyve heard it before or they google it or something, rarely do ppl actually get the answer unless they previously knew it
