A man walks up to you and says, "Everything I say is a lie."

Is this man lying or telling the truth? Why?

another one:

If you dont use it, it's black
if you use it, it's red
when you're done with it, its white.
what is it?

it's a whatchamacallit... oxymoron or something, not a riddle.  Anyway the answer is thats it's not possible.  If he's telling the truth then well.. he can't be cause everything he says is a lie and if he is lying then everything he says is the truth.

Now thats the way I was told awhile back, i still say it's possible that he's lying about the "everything" part which in turn would make it so he must be lying.

here's some more...

first:
What is more useful when it is broken?

second:
There is a frog, dead in the middle of an island. If he swims north, the distance to the mainland is 2 meters. If he swims south, the distance to the mainland is 3 meters. If he swims east or west, the distance is 4 meters. Which way does he swim?

three:
Two mothers and two daughters go shopping. They have $21 (they only have 21 $1 bills and no change so $5.25 is not the answer), which they split equally between them. How can this be possible?

I found the game, it's called mindtrap, so get ready for a couple of harder ones.

1
While sitting in her easy chair, drinking beer and watching a ball game, Bertha Dribble decided to turn over a new leaf.  She decided to get into shape.  Not one to make rash decisions, Bertha hollered out to her husband to go to the library and find her a book on physical fitness.  When Mr. Dribble got to the library he saw a book with "how to jog" on it's spine. He "snuck" it out and returned home.  When Bertha finally glanced at the book several weeks later, she found that it had nothing to do with getting into shape.  What kind of book was it?

2.
While on safari in the wild jungles of africa, Professor Quantum woke up one morning and felt something in the pocket of his shorts.  It had a head and tail, but no leags.  When Quantum got up he could feel it move inside his pocket.  Quantum, however, showed little concern and went about his morning rituals.  With such a casual attitude, what was in his pocket?

3.
If two hours ago it was as long after one o' clock in the afternoon as it was before one o' clock in the morning, what time would it be now?

yeah the answer to that one up there is coal

the one about the man saying "everything i say is a lie":

the answer is he is lying

not everything he says is a lie. some things he lies about, some things he doesnt. in this case, he is lying because NOT EVERYTHING he says is a lie.

ya i dont like that one either....more of a play on words kinda question...
