Well, considering either one would have to be created by something else (not neccesarily evolution through other animals), and would basically appear from nowhere anyway, the Chicken would have came first...

An Egg just sitting in the dirt somewhere isn't going to hatch (or even if it somehow manages to hatch, it won't be able to walk and find food, meaning it will die) without the help of a Full-Grown Chicken...

How do you know that what we think is the chicken, isn't really a hampster?  Maybe we've grown up thinking it's a chicken, when it's really a hampster, and what we think is a hampster, is really a chicken....  Therefore, the chicken came first because everybody knows hampsters don't lay eggs....   But if a chicken really is a chicken, then I guess that the chicken came first, (unless you see a human hatching that egg and feeding the little chicken, or, if you live in a perfect world, food just comes to it....)

ah.. it's an endless argument.  pure speculation, but i'd believe for a chicken to come first through evolutionary stages.. just kinda hard to believe an egg appear out of nowhere.


and i always thought eggs came from the cadbury bunny.

basically the egg comes first but in a liquid kinda form then the chicken starts to develope and finally the egg hardens.  so take that however you want.  and how is this comedy?
