Here's the top shit scenarios I could think of:

-In the middle of a dump, and realizing the toilet paper was in the other bathroom
-The subway - I've gotten stuck on a subway, and it sucks.
-The dentist, in the middle of getting a tooth pulled or root canal.  They DON'T have backup power, and that shit fucking HURTS.
-2 seconds before you hit save on your master's thesis
-HD format
-Being on a stupid high floor of a tall building.  Even going DOWN 50 flights of stairs is tiring.
-in the middle of sex with an appliance (this would just be annoying)

I suppose anyone being tortured with a device that requried electricity was presently surprised, or anyone in a hostage situation could've gained the upper hand.

My mom was in NY when the power went out, and if it wasn't for a friend of her's wanting to go to a video store before hopping the subway, she would've been stuck in there for God knows how long.
