I havnt been called "silly one" since primary school !
When you have an up-to-date  bios for your mod it automaticly overrides the media check. Hence you don't need to "patch" your game at all. Now if you go to the ISO forum and spend some time there you too will get a head-ache with all the posts of "my game freezes" .
I don't happen to have the latest bios so I hapily patch all my new games and yes if there was a program that ran after "hdd loader" installed a game . Yes that would be good if it patched the default.xbe file.
But in context of the post and the previouse 3 pages of that topic the quote was funny.

This wasn't said here.. but some kid at my school claims his brother put a DVD burner in his Xbox and can burn DVD's from it.

And another kid says he can burn selfbooting Xbox games, along with his friend with their 100% fullspeed perfect Xbox emulator for the PC.

So what if he has something like an X1 where he can't flash it, but has a 120GB of games that need to be patched?  It's a legitimate, albeit overasked, question.
