i want to put this hdd in my modded xbox....

500 gig hdd on newegg

i know i would have to use some util that would enable more than 256 gigs to be seen with the fileing structure...

i just want to know if the power supply will beable to handle this....

any help would be much appreciated

Yes, you could install that hard drive in your Xbox, as long as any partition over 256 GB in size was formatted with a 32 KB cluster size.

If you want to devote all of the drive's free space to the F partition, it would need to be formatted with 32 KB clusters, using XBpartitioner. Otherwise, data corruption would occur as the drive was filled.

Or, if you want the F drive to use the first 137 GB, and the G drive the remaining space, the G drive would have to be formatted with 32 KB clusters, as it would be over 256 GB in size.

yes, it is fact, use xbpartitioner to format, it will automatically use 32k clusters on large partitions

another option is to use xbpartitioner to set custom partition sizes, this will allow you use 2x250gb partitions, so you dont need 32k clusters

yes i do know for a fact that xbpartioner works...

I have a 300 gig mator hdd and formatted it with 32 kb klusters with this tool and filled it to the brim with media just to check to see if it still worked without being coruppted and it worked just like any other hdd in the xbox...
