okay, check this out, i just got home from work, took my xbox apart, looked in and there were the two memory chips, they are not the same as the ones on the other board, well they are but aren't, the "416's" on the board i got from ebay, i assumed were "4-16MB" so then i looked at mine and saw that they were "428" i was "
" so i continued to take the screws out, removed the board and saw that there were two more chips on the bottom
so the "416" and "428" have nothing to do with the size, i've just established that, and the serial #'s are the same, so that was a reassurance.
as for the board i got from ebay, sure enough it won't power up anything, i thought i fixed a cap on the board that was half way broken off the board, kinda looked like the guy that had it before just got frustrated and threw or hit it with a hammer, so that board is no good to me, heh, oh well i guess i'll be going to ebay for 32MB chips. thanks for your help guys. heh, anyone want a parts board?
