Well, today I went in there with a friend I haven't talked to in a while, and he was looking at buying some Xbox games. So I told him about my modded Xbox with games I can copy to the HD, etc..

So, the clerk comes over and I suppose he was eavesdropping, and said we shouldn't be talking about this in the store, so among other things... *cough* fuck off...

He said he didn't have too, for one, and that you can't even open an Xbox "yet." So I asked him how they repaired them if they were broken; "Well MS has the tools to open it"; "So I couldn't get ahold of those tools, eh?"; "No, of course not"

So, I asked if I could use his computer, he said ok, and I took him to Xbox-Scene.com and showed him all the pictures of how to fully open an Xbox console that can't be opened, needless to say his face got quite red, and when I walked out, I had to give him a big:

the guys in gamecrazy are the same way, they tried to tell me you couldn't mod an xbox yet, and this was like last week.  i didn't go as far to take them to xbox-scene.com but it was still pretty funny, even my old lady laughed at them, it was a good time.   beerchug.gif

Hmm... I hope in the process of navigating to xbox-scene.com you also showed him what a web-browser is, how to type in a url, and how to use the mouse to click on hyperlinks.

Maybe if we are lucky he will stumble across the "Search" abilities of the web sometime soon.

Oh yeah, you should have told him about NES ROMS, that would have fried his puny little mind. "You mean, people can just get these games for free, they don't have to buy them from us for $10 a piece?"

i'm not sure, you can go to gamecrazy.com and type in your address and it will tell you if there is one by you, but i'm pretty sure it is only in the u.s.  they had refurbs on sale for $149 from oct. - christmas, i think i bought 8 xbox's in that time from them to mod and sell to people here in az.   beerchug.gif

Nope, none by me.

BTW, I wasn't too fond of entering a full address in....they probably sold it to some credit card company so I can get more and more offers!  grr.gif

My EB asked me questions which led to me modding his system.  He was a real cool guy and he takes care of me everytime I am looking for some games.  Give a little get a little is my new motto.

Most people who work in EB/GAME shops think they are game programmers just because they work with games.

It's the same principle with PC World.  If you know anything about computers, you don't work for rubbish money at PC World.
