Xbox Psu Help

I dont know what happened to my xbox but when i plug it in it makes a high pitch noice that doesntstop. I took out my PSU and looked for lightning traces and saw nothing. I mad sure it wasnt my xbox by plugging in the psu out and plugged it in and it did the same thing. Can any one tell me what is wrong with my PSU. THanx
