My First Car
« on: April 06, 2008, 10:15:00 PM »

I got my first car thursday night!!

As it says in the title, its a '94 Honda Civic DX

I've only gotten to drive it once so far because i went to Dallas for the weekend. Now all i need to do is get used to driving it (as im used to driving my dads suburban), because i keep making REALLY wide turns  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yeah, i was really surprised when my dad told me what year it was. He said it had only one owner and it was an older lady.

I see you have a "new car scent" airfreshener.  Do the seats smell like old person pee?

jk

Thats a great car for a first car.

Man damn! You got my car, I anted one of those so bad, but I couldn't find one in time, so I settled for my 92' Tempo GL 5-Speed. I love Manual transmissions. Civics are so nice, Im gone to buy one in September.  I think you should add some Performance parts to it. You into Tuners or anything?

a turbo.

you should drop a B16 lump in it and turbo it, slam it on 16's then roll around in a nice little sleeper.

does look in good nick for it's age, what colour is it acctually? there are some really nice purple highlights on the front.

About how much would i be looking at for the B16 and turbo? I dont want to spend too much on this car because my dad said this is my "learning" car, and i will get a better one for graduation (in 2 years).

And the color is like a deep maroon / slightly purple. I'll get some pics of it from the side soon and maybe they will come out with the actual color.

Those are always the best finds. My dad had a 1990 Accord that was great until some fat black women sat on the hood in NYC.

Yup, they are good finds. He got it cheap too, around $2,400.

I feel sorry for the Accord  sad.gif

lol a fair whack probably, try some civic forumsfor info you would find lots there.

its really more something for a real tuning enthusiast.

if you want to up the power a bit then simple things like a proper exhaust system, performance air filter/induction system, getting the ecu chipped would see you good for maybe 40-50 bhp. It's a shame your lump isnt vtec sad.gif

first things first though would be wheels and suspension laugh.gif

I'll prolly need to speak with you over IM or XBL sometime, as im fairly new to the workings of cars. All i know how to do is change the brake pads, tires, and oil  biggrin.gif
