Xbox Stuck On Clock Screen
« on: December 16, 2005, 10:56:00 AM »

Hi all, heres my current situation...a little while ago I decided I wanted to sell one of the xbox's I had modded. So, I uninstalled the chip and everything booted properly. Right before I sent it away, I deleted all of the game content, but now theres a problem.

When I start it up, it goes to the clock screen asking for the current date and time, but the system is not responsive to the controller. No matter what button I press it does absolutely nothing, so I am stuck at this screen. I've tried plugging into all 4 ports and nothing works. I also have a controller that lights up when plugged in, and it is lighting up, so the ports must be working since their giving power to the controller. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

yea i took the chip out in august, locked the hard drive, and played on live with it until last month. Once I sold it, before I shipped it out I took all of my game saves and xbl info off the hard drive through the xbox screen, but I may have deleted something important.

I also tried booting from an Evox boot disk I have, but still nothing...any suggestions?

I think your gonna have to whack the chip back in, re-format the e: drive then sell it on (after taking the chip out!!!!)

This will probably solve the case (But backup the save games to xb mem card or usb stick) as you deleted one of the Tdata or Udata folders / incorrect subfolder/s

Edit: You may want to restore the C: drive from an earlier backup - just to make sure none of the xbox dash files were deleted.
