Ride To Acadia National Park
« on: April 30, 2007, 07:52:00 PM »

I'm about 1 hour from Acadia National park, so I went for a ride there last weekend. Put 130ish miles on the bike and averaged 36.9 mpg. Not too bad. Here's a few pics.

A few pics of me and my buds bike in the driveway. I'm the one in gear in the 2nd pic.
(BTW the pic is very deceiving as I'm definately the taller of the 2 of us.)

It was amazing. I've had the new bike for about a month now and that's the one really nice day there's been that I've been off. I bought it and then it snowed for over a week.  dry.gif So it was GREAT to get out. And they dont keep the park open in the winter, so they dont sand, so there's no sand to worry about on the roads. Plus the loop road in Acadia normally costs, but not this early in the season. It was a blast. Best ride I've had on a bike yet.

I think he was being sarcastic, nice busa and you are so lucky to be able to ride in arcadia. You should try the I-80 north of reno through the canyon, yes I know there is a slight geographical problem there.

Yeah, MBood is a personal friend. He's just pissed at me, because I havent made it down to see his new house. That's on me. He knows damn well my bike is fast.

Next summer I may use my vacation to take is cross country. Depends on what else comes up.
