if it is the fuse, take a quick look in the plug and see if anything fell in there. i can't tell you how many times someone has come back complaining of a non-functional lighter after a stereo was installed, only to find out that they dropped a foil covered gum wrapper in the hole. that and pennies.. could prolly buy myself lunch with all the pennies i've pulled out of cigarette lighters over the years..

Could be, but the simplest solution is usually the best one.

If the lighter doesn't get hot, it's not going to pop out.
