I don't know how it works elsewhere, but once you get your license at 16, you have a few restrictions on it.  One of which being max of one passenger in the car at a time.

O RLY? Wow I was breakin the law a whole bunch then two years ago...

Let's see, when I turned 16:

Having a crapload of people in my car under 18: Check (Peter you were probably one of em)

Driving around past midnight: Check (sometimes out till 4 or 5 in the morning)

Having alcohol in my system: Check (granted, a very small amount that didn't impair my driving at all)

Oh well, moral of story, don't do anything stupid, and don't get caught.

Any amount impairs your driving.

That's stupid, you shouldn't be allowed to have alcohol in you  at all when your driving.

Agreed

ditto.

anyway i am from Ohio and here is how it works here:

age: 15 yr. 6 months (15 1/2) -  take a computerized test and get your temps if you pass. if you fail you have to wait a week to try again.

for 6 months you must drive with a licensed parent/legal gaurdian or someone over 21. 40 hours day, 10 hours night of driving required.

age: 16 - take the road test for your license, pass you get your license. if you fail, you have to wait a week and then you can try again.

~now for restrictions~

temps: accompanied with a licensed parent/legal gaurdian or someone over 21 years of age. passengers aloud. no time restrictions (since you are with your parents).

license: aloud by yourself. passengers aloud (only what your car will fit though). curfew of 11pm on the monday - thursday and 12am on friday, saturday, and sunday. thats the curfew whether or not your are driving. you must be on your property by those times (unless with parents)

You can fit alot more people in a car than how many seats there are.

I could fit a good 15 or 20 in my car, which has 5 seats.

That's bullshit.  7, maybe 8 at the most, unless you have a small bus.

I never said comfortably or safely.  You can fit a bunch of people in there if you just pack them in.

same here but you will get pulled over, ticketed, and fined if you have more passengers than seats in your car will hold.

I know, I was just commenting on the fact that you said "passengers aloud (only what your car will fit though)"
