little fyi.. the fastest honda all-motor racers out there are beginning to break into the high 8's. shouldn't bee too much longer till we see low 8's / high 7's. the newer k series engines are pretty extraordinary..
i think one of my favorite lame excuses anyone can make would have to be the "well, if i threw more money into it i could beat it" line.. what a crock of crap. car a is faster than car b.. live with it. if you're gonna compare the two, compare them fairly. who gives a shit if your <insert slow car here> can beat a <insert fast car here> after receiving $20k worth of work? throw the same money into the other car and it would again hand you your ass. that's like saying you can run faster than some guy with no legs.. this is supposed to make you cool how again?
if you bought an suv, you didn't buy it for speed, you bought it for practicality.... if you bought a sports car, you didn't buy it for practicality, you bought it for speed. be happy with the decision you made and stop trying to fool yourself into making your car out to be something that it isn't.
and for the first person that wants to bring up an srt-8 jeep or some shit, don't bother.. that's just the manufacturers coddling the idiots who can't live with their need-based decisions. i miss the days when a sports car was a sports car and an suv was an suv. i grow tired of this ridiculous cross breed garbage.. sports cars with so much extra crap they're slow again, and suvs that are so performance orientated that they loose most of their functionality.
