I thought I would post up a topic on annoying drivers, since I know most of you have experienced moronic drivers at some point. What is your most annoying moronic driver experience?

Almost ANY time riding the motorcycle. The dumbasses just dont see me...

For example, I'm riding yesterday, despite riding a 750cc race bike (in essence) I'm really not a go-as-fast-as-possible-on-poorly-maintained-deserted-stretch-of-road kind of rider. I like twistie roads, and I like going through THEM fast... Anyways, I'm riding along and some little ricer kid with his buddies pull up next to me in a WRX. Alright, I'm also DAMN paranoid about riding next to other cars, so I slow down a bit. No dice, he slows down with me... Alright, I speed up a little bit, again, he sticks with me. Then he starts revving his engine, making signs like he wants to race, and then he does something that I almost kicked his door in for. Fucker justs starts swerving into my lane, to...incite me? I dont know, needless to say at the end of it, I'm glad I have a bike that can do a hundred before leaving 3rd gear easily (and still not redline!) >.<

^^^

Thats why I would never want a motorcycle.

I get kids trying to race me in my Mustang all the time, I just ignore them and keep them guessing as to what its capabilities are.

As far as my worst story, I have to say sadly it ended up in a wreck.

I was driving down a busy US highway doing ~55 MPH when a lady in her mid 90's decided to pull out into traffic (from the median) when my car was about 15 yards away and closing. Needless to say I had nowhere else to go but into the side of her car... fortunately I was able to snatch the wheel and hit her left-rear passenger door instead of her driver door.

In the end nobody was hurt, just a little shook up.

Her 2004 Buick Lesabre was repaired.

My 1988 BMW 325IS was destroyed... and purchased by her insurance company wink.gif

Damn. I do like my Impala. Despite its size it has decent power, if I stage right I can spank Mustangs and some Camaros all day long. Mostly just because the other driver is juts the kind that just stomps on the gas when the light turns green... But anywho... Heh

No stock impala of any flavor could beat my Mustang smile.gif. However, I do have a friend with a 1999 Grand Prix that will beat my car, but it's heavily modified.

Again, its all down to driver skill, I've got a Vette motor in a car that weighs twice as much. So theres a bit of power there, but not much. It depends on how you stage, I'd bet a properly driven Saturn could spank me, but I have yet to find out, most people that I race (which is rarely, I dont like to street race, not with Bandemere (sp) a 1/2 hour away...) are dumbasses from the high school or something, who again, just stomp on the gas when the light turns green.

Anyways, I'm getting off topic. I'm not suggesting I could beat you, on the other hand I"m not saying I couldnt. I was just commenting.

You must have the LT1...so probably a 1993-1996 Impala i'm guessing.

Those cars are pretty quick, and they launch hard too. I had to weld subframe connectors to keep my car from flexing too much at launch.

Thats one thing that makes me nervous when I take the mustang out, something happening to it...I had no clue I was going to total my BMW that day. People in this area seem to drive with superb levels of idiocy.

oh man I could create a list of this stuff:
-people who get on the highway and head straight to the far left lane regardless of traffic
-people who stay in the far left lane and drive slower then the speed of traffic
-people who ride on your ass instead of passing you
-people who speed up and slow down all the time such that when I have my cruse control set they'll blast by me then 5 minutes later I'll pass them, then they'll blast by me again, and I've never changed speed.
-people who block traffic by not going any faster then the cars in the adjacent lanes
-people who are too afraid to pass someone going slow on single lane highways and then end up stacking the cars up in a long line making it increasingly harder for people who actually have balls to pass (can't tell you how many time I've had to pass 15+ cars in one go)
-people who are too afraid to merge on the highway so they come to a complete stop at the end of the ramp... making it harder for them to actually merge with the 70MPH+ traffic
-people who forget that they can make a right on a red light
-people who have the right of way and just sit there while everyone else waits for them to go +bonus points if they don't even have a stop sign or traffic light ++double bonus points if they start to go after someone else gets tied of waiting and just goes and then the dumb-ass gets mad about it
-people who cut you off and just wave like it's OK, like you gave them permission
-people who are taking a left hand turn at a light and blast out when the light turns green instead of waiting for the straight traffic to go first.
-people who stop to let you pull out into the road when they're the last car in a long line of traffic, while the gesture is nice it proves they have no idea what's going on around them and it costs both you and them time because you could have pulled out sooner if they just drove like they were supposed to.
-people who cut out in front of you after cutting across parking lanes, as if they had the right of way
-people who can't park their car evenly even in the simplest of parking spots +bonus points if it's a tiny economy car and they're still over the line (I drive a large truck and If I can get it perfectly parallel and evenly spaced within the lines... so can anyone else).
-people who have no appreciation for others cars and let their door fly right open into your doors or fenders  dry.gif  +bonus points if they did this because they didn't park properly ++double bonus points if you were in your car and they showed no remorse while doing it.
-people who drive with just their parking lights on when it's dusk or during low visibility weather, as if it's too difficult or too wasteful to just put your headlights on like you're supposed to
-people who don't put put any lights on at all during low visibility weather
-drivers who look at their passengers when they talk to them +bonus points if you're the passenger and fearing for your life because the driver isn't watching the road
-people who can't manage their speed and are constantly switching between accell and brake overshooting their desired speed instead of just applying light pressure to the accell
-people who slam on their brakes at the last minute when coming to a stop instead of starting their decell at an appropriate distance
-people who squish themselves up to the car in front of them at a red light or other traffic stop +bonus points if it's a hill, they're behind you, and you're in a stick ++ double bonus points if you scare them by blatantly rolling back.

... I'm sure I could think of more  muhaha.gif
if you didn't gather... I really hate people.

My brother had and Audi A4... it had a rear fog light (on the left hand side) but it had a bulb socket for one on the right for countries that drove on the other side of the road. We installed a bulb on the other side and he would just flick on the rear fogs if someone got close... 9 times out of 10 they thought he slammed his brakes and backed off  muhaha.gif

Though today I love brake checking puny SUVs in my lifted pickup; even better when they try to be aggressive while merging...  laugh.gif yeah... who do you think is going to win that battle of chicken

Mines a 96, they only made the Imp from 94-96, anything else is a Caprice. As well, yeah, its an LT1, and while its no Camaro, or Mustang it does get up and go heh. Nothing like those junk ones they slap Impala badges on nowadays... NO Impala should be FWD... (I'm not looking to get into a FWD vs RWD debate, it just doesnt seem right).
