Transponders wink.gif

And, use dem bump keys!

Oh right, and forget what I said anyways, most cars that use the keys with 'transponders' in them have separate keys for the door lock...

Yeah, try using a bump key, as long as you do it right it wont hurt anything at the least...

Some won't do it due to liability if the car is damaged.

the cop could look through the window (the things on a car that are transparent wink.gif) and see that there is no baby in there.

@the original post don't feel bad.  Last week I actually locked my dumbass out of my appartment and the managers who happened to have the spare were either at work or out of town.  To make matters worse my car keys/alarm control were inside the appartment and I left my cell phone in there as well.  So I had to walk around like a vagrant and track down a pay phone and call my manager at his work and let him know to let me in when he got off work.  Talk about embarrassing and annoying.  My apartment is setup to automatically lock the door when you shut it.  I just stepped out for a minute to go get my mail so I wasn't exactly well prepared for something like that (hence why everything was left in the apartment).  To add insult to injury, after being locked out for several hours I discovered that I hadn't recieved any mail that day.

on the brake light problem, where the brake pedal is follow the peice of metal a few inches up and you should see a small push button type spring loaded switch. that is called your brake lamp switch/neutral saftey switch. it is usually held in place but a few screws and has a molex type connector providing power. you can get those at auto zone and oriellys usually for a couple bucks. swap it out and your good to go.

edit, oh and pick up a new transmission while you are there =)
