If you buy a truck for gas mileage your dumb because trucks are made to haul and tow not get super awesome gas mileage, Just my opinion.

Just because you're driving a truck doesn't mean you want to waste gas either.

Driving with the tailgate down is bad for the truck. The tailgate supports the sides of the bed, and with the gate down or off, they end up shaking loose after a while. So even if you were saving a few bucks on gas, it isn't worth wasting a truck bed worth several hundred.
