Ok, Looking at buying a new car. I don't really want a 2 Door Car, just don't want my insurance to go up too much. 21 year old Male Driver, with 4 points on my license, and a at-fault accident. Anywho, back to the discussion.

There are two main cars I'm looking at. Both are completly different, Its kinda a weird combination to like both cars but...

Ok, First car is a 2006 Mazda 3 Hatch 5 Speed Manual. Would get the fully loaded 3 (Bose System, Moonroof, and Leather). Through a Family friend, I can get like $2000-$2500 off this car. I love the way it shifts, It drives a lot better than most cars in the class. From What I read on-line, this is a pleasent change from the way most mazdas are made. I've driven a lot of cars, and the 3 is a nice car. This car is powerful for a car of its size. 160 HP.

2nd choice is a Scion XB. Would also get this car with Leather and a 5 Speed. However, the stock options for radios/upgraded speakers charge way too much. Would install aftermarket head unit and speakers all the way around. There is a huge aftermarket industry available for this car, so the options are pretty much endless. However one problem is that this car only has around 105 HP.

My question is: Any Suggestions? Want to keep car under 20 Grand or so. Also Like mentioned before, no 2 doors. Only exception to this would be the 2006 Honda Civic SI. That car just kicks a ton of ass.

No the Xb is a 4 door mini SUV. It looks like a box.

But both seem to be nice cars from what I've seen of them. I'll be honest and say I'm also slightly intrigued by the Scion Tcs. I know theyre 2 doors, but I really like the look of them, and with 160 hp they are pretty fun little cars to drive. Add to that Scion's build quality is supposed to be decent. (To be seen to some degree.), and itd be enough for me to look into them. But I wouldnt shy away from either choice. I think it depends on what you prefer the looks of, driving in, and of course, price.

I was looking at a Tc earlier today at the local toyota dealership to tell you the truth. The Panoramic Moonroof is a cool idea. Unfortunately they only had automatics in stock. No 5 Speeds

It seemed like a nice little car, I actually got an insurace qoute on that car a couple weeks ago and it was only like $150 more every 6 months. So I guess that car is in the running.

The TRD Supercharger for that car is SO not worth it. $4000 installed for only 40 Horsepower. Yeah, its covered under warranty but still, thats a little much for me.

It looks like you dont know anythig about cars, the rotery in the mazda kinda sucks, i had a thread on that, look a little lower, and toyota's are a bitch to repair right now, but thats looking down the road a little.

I'm with Krusty, it amazes me that you can insult someone about their knowledge of cars and then make such a noobish blunder like that. If you don't have a very broad knowledge of cars, then that is fine but don't brag about knowing more than others only to prove yourself a dumbass. Sorry but IMHO anyone with a little knowledge of cars, would know that the vast majority of Mazdas are not Rotary Powered.
