Much lighter. Better performance handeling parts, better built engine. Are you not familiar with crankwalk?

I"d rather buy a car for say 3000 then pour in 20,000 then buy a car for 20,000 and pour in 3,000. makes no sense. But if you have the money for a wrx then go for it

Yeah, but Im also familiar witht he drivetrain being all but identical meaning itll break just as quick as any Talons. And cranklwalk wasnt an issue with all Talons. It was just one generation that had real issues with em. I thought the engine was primarily the same it was pretty much a new intake system that set the engine apart.

god you guys have it rough sad.gif  over here (ireland) i could import a r33 gts-t 1997 or 98 2.5 turbo for about 5000 euro, fully road legal, we dont have to modify it in any way, there is no problems with lights or anything, the only thing is wh have to keep the cat in it but sure who cares. And its the same throughout most of europe, i think the uk needs an extra back fog light fitted but thats it

you could just wait until the skyline come over here. in 2007 it will be the Infinity GT-R and in 2008 it should go back to Nissan as The Skyline GT-R. Thats just what my boss was telling me. He did say it was  subject to change, but change was unlikely.

The V35 Skyline is already sold in the USA as the Infiniti G35. It's likely the next GT-R, which will not be badged as a Skyline, will be the Infiniti GT-R in the US market. All previous generations of Skyline, GT-R or not, are not road legal in the USA simply because they were never intended for USDM sale and thus have never passed or even designed to pass any American crash or emissions testing.

ps. old topic!

The skyline was banned after some guy took the speed/power limiter of and put in his own. After he done that he got over 1000bhp out of the engine without blowing it up. (it was banned cuz everyone started doing that).

^^ reason(in canada)

You can buy it (in canada) as a "restoration project"
It doesn't have to be safetied, because you "don't plan on driving it"

-but you still have a problem with getting it insured when you do want to drive it.

it was banned from road rallies because of that and its computer traction control was too "smart" it made everyone look like a professional

anyone who says a WRX Sti isnt amazing needs to go to a rally race. out of the box doing 70 through the trees dirt roads pulling on hairpin turns. no more is needed. when i get the money thats what will be in my driveway

uhm... yeah

the only reason it's not legal here is because it won't pass smog and crash tests.. the importers (companies that bring them over and make the 100% legal) just retro-fit them with stuff to pass the tests.

speed/power limiter... wow  huh.gif

i think he just has a few stories mixed up banned from streets for those reasons mentioned above, it was banned from racing in certain leagues because the car was litterally too good.
