I bet it rides like shit.

You have NO idea how shitty the ride is. Because the air bags replace the springs (my freind has a slamed and bagged truck) and you have to get weak shocks, or some people remove them altogether. So the ride sucks, ANY bump you hit you feel, and the truck bounces much more as a result of the shock absorbers being removed.

The same is said for a slammed truck, because you can only go so far with a set of spindles in the front, and shackles and hangars in the back. So you have to replace the springs eventually, and ones that lower the truck that much, ride the same way. No acctuall shock absorption because theres no travel in the spring.

My truck ('86 GMC Sierra), I lowered 2" in the front, and 4" in the rear, levels the truck out, and acctually looks really nice as it fills in the wheel wells (I like the smooth, clean look). But I would never lower it any more.

QUOTE
I could see lowering a small truck a few inches

I like the look of the S-10's, they arent to bad, esspecially the Xtreme ones.

QUOTE
but Ive seen a slammed and bagged dually... not only was that retarded, it was fucking ghey.

Yeah, thats just... stupid.

QUOTE
i doubt he drives it that low cause thats just stupid and obviously that truck is just for show anyways

The one in the picture? It was on airbags, it didnt sit that low when he drove it.

Ive always been told that "airbag suspensions are like riding on air" but Ive never ridden in an air ride. Maybe I got it confused with something else, but thats what I remember hearing.

Chevy extreme's look REALLY nice. I like them more than any small truck, but Im 6'7 and its hard as hell for me to set in an s10, I couldnt drive one, it would be near impossible.

If done right (like, the insane amounts of money, time, and engineering skill insane type of right) an airbag suspension isnt to bad, but for the most part (esspecially the kits you buy from catalogs) the air ride kits just arent that great of a ride.

Anyone that wants to be tall doesnt understand about all the problems we have. I would much rather be short than to be tall. Short people complain that they cant do certain things that us tall people can... like they have to get a chair to reach the dop cabinet in the kitchen, they cant see a lot above the steering wheel in their car, Just a lot of stuff they say they cant do. But there is a lot of stuff I cant do either ebcause Im too tall. I went to kings island about a year ago and couldnt ride hardly anything, my legs were too long for some rides, and on others the bar thing that comes down wouldnt lock without breaking my back. I have a hard time driving cars also, any car without a tilt wheel is extremely uncofortable because I have to angle my legs, my grammaws old 90 cavalier got a drimmel taken to the dashboard because after driving for 15 mins to my house from hers my knees and shin were red and scratched up and hurting. In older buildings and in almost all houses I have to duck or lean over when walking so i wont rub my head on the ceiling or crack if on a doorway or lamp/ceiling fan. When I am at a redlight in my car I have to lean forward so I can see the ligh because Im too tall for the car and I cant see the light at all unless I stop about 20 feet away from the crosswalk. I cant even ride in a truck unless its an extended cab, altho my friends single cab f150 I could set in pretty comfortably. Being tall sucks.
