from what i heard ford has made leaps and bounds in that department. They came out with that fancy motorola/microsoft bluetooth everything system. Even there regular systems are much better then previous years. I agree being a non standard size hurts upgrade ease, but I personally think it looks better

wow I haven't been on here in forever. anyways, I finally got a car. my first choice was the Civic Si, but according to my parent's it's 'too fast', etc. etc. you all know how it is. anyway so I got a 5 speed LX. it's not a bad car, handles nicely, revs somewhat high  biggrin.gif , and good on gas. here are some pics:

don't know how I missed this post earlier...

that's a nice looking car (for a honda  tongue.gif )

as for the civic being "too fast"  laugh.gif  rotfl.gif
you should tell your parents to try stand up comedy because that's some funny sh*t right there.

and no I don't "know how it is" when I was 15 I learned to drive stick on my fathers 600+whp Supra and I would often get Christmas and birthday gifts such as performance exhausts, swaybars, or go-fast parts. ... or maybe my family was just different. at this point I own my own place and 3 cars so it's not like my parents have had a say in what I buy or do for some time now.

is it wierd that the first thing i looked at in the interior pic was the radio? instantly thought.. "yay, another integrated clusterfuck.."

course, being an installer for years will do that to ya.. laugh.gif
but i will agree that the body changes look great.. little more aggressive looking, and that's always good

I noticed it too.. Honestly I hate that sh*t with a passion. No joke, that's a deal breaker for me when buying a car. If it's something I really like otherwise I might investigate what the 3rd party masking/intergration options are like but yeah... if they can't be bothered to stick to the industry standard "DIN" with a stereo that doesn't "share" with the ecu and other parts of the car then I can't can't be bothered to purchase their car.

more often then not not conforming to the most basic of standards is a good indicator of a lack of standardization elsewhere in the car as well.

leaning to drive a stick on a sports car was pretty easy actually... The hardest parts was leaning not to give it TOO much gas, but the clutch work was a breeze. The Supra had enough torque that from a dead stop if you let off the clutch in first gear without touching the gas at all it would take off under idle power  laugh.gif

I do still get car parts/tools as gifts but it's my fiancee who buys them for me now, and she always knows what I want without me having to ask  love.gif

sorry man but im confused as to how you could pop/drop the clutch without gas and it wont stall, even with lots of torque.

by dropping i am assuming you mean completely engaging the clutch, unlike slipping it.

You will be surprised how good the handling is on F-bodys....The Mustang... im not so sure.

Actually the new Mustangs are no longer built on the Fox chassis and handle extremely well (the GT's that is),not quite on par with the Vette but dang close.
