Yup, if anything else goes wrong with it, I will really be up a creek for finances.

Tell you what you need lad, find a wrote off GTI-R and take the engine out of that and put it in your sunny, also the GTI-R bonnet and rest of body work would be a nice addition to your car, and i'm sure you'd be loving the new found speed!

guess what. found some people and picked up GTI-R front and back bumpers, sideskirts and a GTI (not R) spoiler, i refuse to put the bonnet on a 1400, but i got the whole lot for 90 quid.

Also dropped her 35mm yesterday on GTI shocks and spax springs, i got all 4 shocks with the springs for 50 quid all in, bargain eh? tho with a 13 year old chassis the flex is hideous, time to find me a cheap set of braces.

What?  No flashing red LED on the front of even ONE of those Trans Ams?  I am disappointed in you.  biggrin.gif

You will be surprised how good the handling is on F-bodys....The Mustang... im not so sure.

I've driven plenty of f-bodys.... 70s through 00s, modified and unmodified, I've never been very impressed with the handling characteristics.

as far as American cars go they're some of the best, but they're still lumbering land yachts in the slalom when pitted against nearly anything from the rest of the world.

wow I haven't been on here in forever. anyways, I finally got a car. my first choice was the Civic Si, but according to my parent's it's 'too fast', etc. etc. you all know how it is. anyway so I got a 5 speed LX. it's not a bad car, handles nicely, revs somewhat high  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) , and good on gas. here are some pics:

lostboyz that Focus looks nice!

My fiancee drives an 04 hatch with the Ztech motor and loves it.  I wasn't a big fan of the years after that where they tried to imitate the Jetta but the new style like what you posted looks nice. I've got a buddy with an RS of the same year and that thing hauls...

For an econo-box they're great cars beerchug.gif

When buying cars like this

1. Always get the biggest motor you can
2. always get it in a stick

sorry to bring this up but its written as Zetec not Ztech (not trying to be a dick but it probably does seem like it though)

and yeah the rs does shift especially if you get an SS tubular manifold on it and get it chipped. although the ST is a much more powerful one especially if you get the ms300 kit on it (300 BHP) but i just dont trust 300 ponies being pushed through the same wheels that are doing the steering as well.

still i say the best one was the Fiesta RSTurbo. only a 1.6 and only had a small turbo but it was enough in a 900 kilo car. that and you could get the turbo from the escort and then it goes like stink.
the scariest thing in the world is being in a fiesta (One of these) at 170 mph.

I hereby apologise for geeking out all over the forum.

you're right I said it wrong... unfortunately here in the states we don't get the ST or the Fiesta and I misspoke about the RS it's the SVT we don't get the RS here either... the SVT is just like it but without the AWD  sad.gif

as for foci in general ...

yeah the WRC cars are insane. ive been in of those things and they really do shift.

i thought the svt had the 2.3 duratec engine? whereas the st has a 2.5 engine out of a volvo( blink.gif ).anyway, doesnt matter really.

is it wierd that the first thing i looked at in the interior pic was the radio? instantly thought.. "yay, another integrated clusterfuck.."

course, being an installer for years will do that to ya.. laugh.gif

but i will agree that the body changes look great.. little more aggressive looking, and that's always good
