What would be the difference in using an 8ohm sub instead of a 4ohm?

4ohm's




But to be more precise... I think you mean 4 ohm and 2 ohm. Im not exactly sure, but I do know some amps are made for 4 ohm, and some are made for 2 ohm, but both will work with either amp Im pretty sure.

no i mean 8 ohms. does anyone know the advantages/disadvantages of using an 8ohm sub in a car instead of 4 ohm

Also, build a box for the amp and put some fans in it to keep it cool.
