Im still not buyin it. The Civic already has more or atleast equal HP stock (Depending on the trims). It they swapped an engine you have to figure it had more power than their orignal engine (probably from a Integra). Point is they had more power (id guess atleast 20hp).

What you believe doesnt concern me. The engine the civic has is d16z6 with OBD1 conversion, stock eclipse injectors, stock eclipse turbo, stock eclipse intercoolr. A junkyard setup. Pushin about 5-6 psi when we ran, and did I mention its non v-tec? Of coarse you will come back saying something that you know nothing of, and then I will come back and say something, and this will turn into a flame war. It wasnt really a race, it was form redlight to redlight and I topped at 55 before i started to brake. Barely enough to wind out 3rd gear.

10K in a car? Hmmm.... I'd love to stick 10K in upgrades to my 1st Gen Talon. It already has the 4G63 engine in it. Unfortunately, it's being used as my family car because some idiot rear-ended my BMW (and my 240SX is dead).

Ouch!

you spend 10k on a car, and Ill spend 10k on a car, and we will race, no performance mods matter you can do whatever you want, but the car has to be stock when you buy it, it can be anything you want. I would pick a honda and beat anything you threw at it, no matter how many cylinders.

On what kind of track?

Drag? Somthing with LOTS of tight turns?

I think a Miata would "walk" any honda!  tongue.gif

EDIT: and use less gas.  tongue.gif

Anyone need a project car? I've spent $3,700 on it, but now it's just sitting in my driveway looking ugly.

no.. said you just had to buy it stock.. like you'd 10k total to buy the car and then mod it. but i see how you could have misread it.. i had to go over it a couple times myself

10k limit came from psycho.. and i agree on that one. there are so many options out there that it's not even worth comparing,

as for finding a s2000 or nsx under 10k, don't have too... simply replying to kdragon's comment about a miata walking any honda
