Nice car.
As for the stereo, look inside the ciggarette thing, and underneath the driver and passenger side foot cubbies..... I don't know what you call them but it is where the pedals are

I just added an 05 Altima to my garage as well.  Great car.  The VERY first thing I did was remove all emblems/badges from the back of the car.  It looks soo much better without them.  Just use a hair dryer, goo gone, and then wax it.

I want to take that Nissan emblem and put it on a hamburger bun and take a picture.   jester.gif

It's an automatic but from what I understand from a very quick glance through the book, it is designed to also be manually shifted.  I've not taken the time to check further into that though as my 'stang is my true love.  love.gif

New grill and headlight lids are soon to come too.  I like a smooth, clean look and want to get rid of the stock grill.  It looks like a hamburger on a bbq grill. lol

for the stereo:

The plastic part surrounding the stereo more than likely pops out, after which point there would probably be scews mounting it.  The other commonly used alternative is if there is some sort of holes in the outer face of the stereo (ford used to use this) you can get an aplication specific tool that you stick in and it unlocks the stereo (a coat hanger works on fords).

You stated earlier that you wanted to see what mine looked like without the emblems.  Here ya go....much cleaner looking without 'em.

Yeah, definitely beaware of what voids the warranty.

Thats actually whats holding me back from doing any engine mods.

with the warranty bit...  for most upgrades, they can only screw you if the added part could be a direct result in what went wrong.  So adding a stereo wouldnt void powertrain warrently however if u burned out an alternator you would be f'ed.  I would think adding an intake might finish any engine warrenty you might have though...
