While I'm a bit skeptical of you owning a 240 w/ that swap Ill put that aside and ask the only question that comes to mind......WHY????

A 280HP AWD car with improper weight distribution is ok I guess. But I wouldnt pay 17K for one when I could build a DSM with double that HP for half the money..... Using conservative estimates.

True but then again, why would you spend 2x that price for the actual Skyline with pretty much the same specs.  I agree that the body styling is better and there is a certain "prestige" about driving an actual skyline but it is still about the same thing for $32K.  Anyways, as for the DSM, well. . . .I bet the DSM would start blowing smoke long before the modded 240SX will. wink.gif  *EDIT*  Also it should be pointed out that nemt had the work done for him.  So while YOU could build a DSM for cheaper, you might not find that much of a price difference if you had the car done by a shop.  It's no secret that the labor is the biggest expense. wink.gif

I personally would think the person who had their lexus out on the trail would be the retarded one...

Agreed.  So then what is the point of having a gas-guzzling SUV to drive around town?  wink.gif   NONE!!!!!!!!!!

It's a status symbol, I personally don't get it...but it makes a lot of people feel better about themselves, so why not go ahead and let them?  A lot of SUVs also give housewives enhanced senses of safety..plus it helps them see over the hood.  beerchug.gif

The DSMs are not reliable. That being said, I can't say I fully believe the AWD, engine swapped 240 in question can be all that reliable either. It's just too much modding to be able to feel truly confident about it lasting. I feel that way about my car.
