Buying a Japanese car is like saying you're unhappy with the results of World War 2.

Aren't you the one who praises the 240SX all of the time?  rolleyes.gif

..and yet I've never bought one from Nissan.

Anyway, Nissan isn't really Japanese, they're owned by Renault which is French...which is arguably worse.

As much as you want to think Nissan is French, its Japanese.

The factories are in Japan, but Nissan is owned partially by Renault, which is a French auto maker.  Also, your Supra is a piece of garbage, and your choice of car modifications, along with your lack of basic knowledge (Nissan and Renault) prove you know little, if anything, about cars.

Let's not start a war here. We don't need it.

Frankly Ive been baffled by Nemt's seemingly conflicting logic more then a few times. I don't even want to get into it in this case. Because I agree he's praised the 240SX before.

As for the Supra being a piece of junk. Well that really sheds light on the whole arguement to me. I'd LOVE to hear the reasoning behind it.

That's like saying Acura is an AMERICAN car.

Or it's like saying Chrysler is German since alot of them manufactured in Germany

Uhm, kinda.

Daimler-Chrysler, the parent company of Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep etc is based in Germany.

Daimler to the best of my knowledge produces vehicles released in Germany and Europe. So those really ARE German cars.

Now as far as the American versions of Chrysler vehicles, those are made and designed here.

It's close but that's a tangled mess of a situation to try and reference to. You are right but it's not that simple.

Acura is the easiest clear cut example.

Actually Nissan owns 15% of Renault, and I would like to hear your side on why my car is a piece of junk? Do you even have a license?

Actually I believe the Crossfires were all made in Germany... I'm not COMPLETELY positive, but I'm almost certain, lol

where to start...

nissan is japanese... if you say otherwise you are rediculous

to the "your choice of modifications"  bit... it is a picture of the outside of the car, how can you possibly tell what has been done to it.

and finally for the mkIV supra being a piece of garbage... the 2jz is one of the most capable engines EVER it can take rediculous abuse even with its stock internals, and has basically limitless potential.  There is a reason that car is one of the most popular tuner cars in the world.

also knowing who owns what proves shit about knowing anything about cars.

I guess I'm "rediculous" then, because Nissan, despite being based in Japan, is owned by a French company.  It's not some hidden secret; it's just a corporate fact.  If you buy a Nissan, profits go to France.

..and to clarify, yes, I have praised the 240sx extensively in this forum, however I don't see where that conflicts with my statements about who owns Nissan.  The 240sx stopped production for North American export in 1997, and buying a used car doesn't benefit the automaker, unless you happen to buy it at certain dealerships, which would rarely be the case on a model more than five years old.  Additionally, saying you like a certain car and saying you like where it comes from are two completely different concepts.  The Taliban might make some amazing sports car, doesn't mean I'd want to buy it.

Also, the Supra in and of itself isn't a piece of garbage, if you look at my post, I said "your supra" meaning his specifically, as a reflection of his lack of taste in modifications.  I don't know or care what he has inside, because it's plain to see the kid is a complete moron just from the exterior.
