tuners suck, i leave those guys in the dust on my cbr 600.

I'm merely pointing out there are car's just as fast as your bike. I'm sorry if that's being a dick.

Thinking a 11 second motorcycle is faster then all cars is just as ignorant as thinking a 17 second civic with wings, decal, and exhaust is faster then most cars. In my mind being a ricer requires the proper frame of mind. This attitude is it.

well, i take back that quote that tuners suck. maybe the fact that i beat a lot of them has boosted my ego. ive never taken my bike to the track, so i dont know how quick it really is. but it is not a stock bike, it has a lot of racing parts. i respect any "true" racer, so no disrespect to those guys.

Just out of curiosity what have you done to the bike, and whats the exact year and model. The specs on them vary year to year. I've never been on a CBR and was trying to get a feel for where ti would sit compared to what I have ridden. It looks pretty damn quick in any case, but I was just wondering details. Hell pics if you got them.

its a 96 f3. i bought it before i got married. it already had racing carbs on it (4 of them)
so i dont know what brand they are. i put a full two bros racing exaust on, plus a full sharkskinz body.  the cbr's are great bikes, very quick and very responsive. when i get it up to about 6k rpm's in 3rd gear,  it takes off like a rocket.  im not going to post pics of a bike here since that would F** up mike96sc2's topic of showcasing ricers. ill start another tread showcasing bikes one i get my cam from my sis in law. the riding position is very comfy, they are not like the r1's or some other bikes witch have very agressive riding positions. if you dont have a bike you should really get one. well worth the money. im looking to buy a kawasaki zx6rr.

There's a users ride therad or 2 going on in this forum. "To the Xboxmobile" and another. Just add to one of those and we can trya nd keep this forum cleaner. Some pics of the biek would be cool. My one of friends has a Hayabusa. I can't really say much, outside of wow. I'd be sure to kill myself on it though. I prefer 4 tires.......

dont believe me huh? ask anybody who has a bike, there a lot faster than a car.
so yes, it was intelligent.

Comparing a bike to a car is fucking stupid.  Of course a bike that weighs 300-400 pounds is going to get up and go faster than a 2,000+ pound car.  As mentioned a car has more seating capacity, heater for colder months and you can have a nice sound system.  Oh yeah and any time you want to compare the crash/survival rates for bikes vs. cars, you let me know.  Don't get me wrong I like motorcycles but thinking someone isn't a real racer because they race cars and not bikes is just plain dumb.  Anyways, back on topic.  I agree that multi-colored cars and in particular, peoples' obsession with the car-wreck grey/rough textured look is the dumbest style ever to enter the auto-tuning world.

that dudes car is multicolor because its primed...gotta do that before u paint it...bodykits when they are first got are usually baby blue...the wing is ugly but it helps speed wise...

i live in miami so i see my share of paycheck cars...im not gonna invest too much money on my ride so i can get me a wrx as soon as i can

btw any bike...even choppers (if both are stock) will take a car...weight distribution is too different...plus the take off...manuverbility...just common sense...

and dude ur camero cant come close to the cbr...im not boostin this dudes ego or on his dick but this is a racing bike against a american muscle heavy biaaa lol and the probe will never take any bike on turns

oh and my boys hyabusa will smoke ur cbr:)

QUOTE (radams58 @ Jul 5 2004, 10:20 PM)
Ohhhh my, where to begin...

First and foremost the I have greatest respect for those who are willing to tune their cars.

Second my automotive pedigree:

1986 Z28 Camaro - 345bhp/327cid/12.8et
1989 Corvette Z51 - 422bhp/350cid/12.3et (Traction issues)
1999 BMW M3 - 202bhp/191cid/14.3et (Road & Track)
(All bhp ratings are at the wheels)

As yet the M is unmodified due to its status as my baby and grocery getter, the 'Vette just did NOT have enough traction (ie Driver Error).

[BIKES]
Having said all of this I speak from some experience in the tuner world.  In my race crew we had an unmodded CBR600 F3, it was quick and had us all off the line.  BUT the Grand National (worked), the WS6 TA (stock), and the RX-7 (mildly worked) could all chew it apart from the century mark on.

[RICERS]
Very high level of irritation with them, BECAUSE, they have very little respect for effort and very little knowledge of the mechanics and physics that go into speed.  There is a local Honda tuner shop started up by some acquaintences from HS, and the BUILD Hondas.  They know their subject and they work the cars.

[CONCLUSION]
Now having said all of this any Honda owner who believes in function over form, understands valve timing and lope separation, and can tell the difference between an 'Intake Pipe' and an actual 'Intake' is welcome at my table.

Trouble is they're few and far between and generally own a sports car to which they've applied said knowledge.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

my only problem with tuners is that 90% of them are just stock cars with wings, a pep boys muffler, and some discount auto parts sickers. real racing tuners are very rare. too many fake ass posers. like i said before, i respect real tuner racers.

Wow you just defined a ricer.. This thread was started to show pictures of the people you just described.  Too bad it only took you 3 pages to figure it out...

And speaking of rice have you seen the bike on this forums with the blue flames on it huh.gif
