I just want something that you can hear a little ways away. Something not too expensive, but not cheap.

I was also wondering which is better ported or sleaded boxes?

*EDIT* What would be a good amp to go with those Audiobahns?

W7s are JLs premir subs so they are quite demanding on power.  @ Phalc1 if you just want something that can be heard a little ways away then you don't need 12" subs, 10" will do just fine.  For amps I also recommend JL Audio, very clean but they will be expensive.  MTX would do in a pinch though.  For ported or sealed it really depends on the sub and once again, what you are looking for.  Ported will give you a little more bass but you will lose some accuracy with your subs.  Sealed are just the opposite of that.  I would guess with Audiobahn that a ported enclosure would probably be best but don't quote me on that as I am not very familiar with their subs.

wow... get infinity Kappa perfects and put them in a sealed box, I'm severly underpowering my 12 right now cause I'm bridging the 5th and 6th channels on my interior speaker amp to squeeze 210watts to it but trust me it still sounds good... here in about a month I'm getting a hifonics brutus, so it'll be abused with 500 watts rms (gains down for hopefully an average of 350) but if I blow it no matter cause I'm replacing it with a 15" RE XXX and a ported box tuned to 24hz, and believe me, this thing will be accurate and loud as fuck, (SQL)... and that upgrade (amp and sub) will cost me around $700...

I got my 2 Kicker Comp VR12's today and they are amazing. I got about 100 watts rms going to them because they are dual 4 ohm. So I need a new amp. But they still hit hard and loud. Its ear shattering, hair moving bass.

Hey guys, what's your opinion on this combo?  I got a GREAT deal on the components (sub was less than $100 shipped, and I traded some stuff to a buddy for the amp).  I don't want to shatter any windows but want it good, clean, and loud.

Polk Momo MM12 and Fosgate P5002.  Been too lazy to wire it up, I want to make sure I have time for a clean install.

Ok i may be young and dont kno much about subwoofers, but my brother aint and he knos pretty much knows everything to do with subs, and he went thru alot of subs he currently got a Infinity Kappa 12", but the best so far i hav herd are the Solobarics L5 12" witch is made by Kicker, my friend owns one of them running of a V12 alpine amp, and a pioner head unit (the one with the Formula one graphic) with sum old skool kenwood 6x9s and it sound the SHITS, so i say SoloBarics all the way.

Polk audio sucks ass.  They are horribly overpriced and they blow out more than any other sub/speaker that I know (barring Sony Xplods).  You should look into a JL Audio W0 as it won't be much more than what you paid for your Polk but the clarity and accuracy will be inifinitely better.

Eclipse all the way baby.  I have an aluminum cone 12" in mycar and I took my kenwood out of my home stereo and put an Eclipse in there.  They are bad ass.

I wouldnt buy Polk Audio subs but I have 6 Polk/Momo speakers in my car and they are far better then anything I have had before.

definately Adire Audio (shivas or brahmas) or Resonant Engineering (SX,XXX)
After much debate between a Brahma or a XXX, which are both nearly the same cause they use the same XBL^2 motor, i finally decided to go with a Brahma 12 because a place close to me carries them, and I couldn't find an RE dealer anywhere.
