How Many Watts Is Everyone Running?

How many total watts are you running to ur fronts, rears and subs?

I have 200 coming from my deck and then 700 from my amp = 900 watts, around average.  And anyone had to buy an extra battery for the trunk so your car won't die while idling for a few min?  biggrin.gif  My friend is running 1500+ and it drained his battery within a few minutes...

tell him to buy a cap and he won't have that problem a bigger alternator would help too.  A buddy of mine had 3000 watts in his car and just had a 1.5 ferrad (sp?) cap and he was fine.

I have 260 coming from my headunit, no subs, getting external amps for my speakers cause 260 isn't enough, I want atleast 75 rms going to each speaker...

i have a soundstream 50x4 for my front and rear speakers and a rockford 700s (427rms to each speaker) powering 2 rockford rx2 10s so just over 1050rms
got a 1 farad power cap in the back too... Can see pictures of it here
built the the boxes from 3/4" mdf and carpeted it myself, no screws in the entire back cept for the ground wire (bisquit joints used to make all the boxes, and lots of em)
recently purchased a trunk kit of dynomat extreme, havnt had time to install it yet though, hopefully it will help w/ the shaking

Agreed. We all know Sony Xplode stuff is lame as hell. I'm really sick of hearing people brag about it. They never put out what they're rated for and they sound like hell. Like the old cliche says you get what you pay for.

I'll be getting the Audiobahn 5.1 amp to power my interior speakers in about a month(I love tax returns)...  Then I'll have to get a center channel speaker, and a sub in a box and I'm set...  That amp will put me at (all RMS)  125X2 front, 75X2 rear, 75X1 (center), and 300X1 for a mono sub...  that'll sound NICE!!!!

OR 1550 total watts peak

52 watts x 4 from the head unit (22 watts RMS)
920 watts max from 2 460 watt (supposedly 230 RMS from each amp from what the company rates it, doubt it though) amps each driving a 12" infinity sub.
1 farad digital cap helping to power the 2 amps.

Hits so hard it makes the music skip... laugh.gif  dry.gif

1128 watts max, 548 watts RMS.

Ace did you ever get your stuff recovered?  Anyways I have 400watts mono running to my 2 10" JL Audio W0 subs from a Precision Power Powerclass Amp.  Not the biggest thump out there but people still know I'm there.  wink.gif  I just have the deck powering my regular speakers (50wattsX4).

1 Rockford BD1000 Amp tested at 1175RMS pushing 1 12" Punch speaker

Ok, the BEST punch sub takes 500 RMS, so your sub is blown and you just havn't gotten a REAL sub yet...
No offense, but that's.... that's... well let's just say that deserves a gold star...

Seems to me there was either something very wrong with the amp for it to last a mere 30 days, or it was hooked up wrong.

but that sub's only rated 87dB for sensativity...  Why run a 500 watt sub when you can get the same sound from 350???(guess-timate)  no offense but rockford subs just aren't known for their SQ...
