and most mustangs suck, stock V6 fieros were faster than stock 5.0 mustangs...

Now if we're talking about a 1969 Boss 302 with 12:1(along with a plethora of other mods) like my Dad's old mustang, then I'll hear ya, but... yeah

you guys should race SUVs.
i race a 94 S-10 Blazer. 325HP to the wheels and roughly 350lb/ft for 3200 lbs.
I've never lost and regularly beat the shit out of riced hondas. the only car in our area that can beat me is my dad's. 2000 Jag XJR. 370HP, 385lb/ft and 3400 lbs.
the only things i've done to my car add weight and still I don't lose.
1)roof rack
2)lights
3)sound system
the only things i've done performance wise are as follows:
1)exhaust
2)i had a guy change out the gears in my GEAR DRIVEN SUPERCHARGER (that came stock) so that i'm pushing 10 psi boost instead of 6.

so you're dad's the only one with anything better than an LT1?  wait.. where the fuck are all the Impala SS's in your area, cause I'd bet anyone that was actually trying to race you in a 94-96 SS would stomp your ass... there aren't any corvettes either?  I'll bet a WRX would beat you too...

unsure.gif  that with that much power it was the LT1, but as I read his other rediculous post on this tread I realized it was just a forced induction V6... (not very respectable seeing as it's a "truck", he's 2 cylinders short...)

Then obviously you haven't looked far enough into it then. I have seen a 650HP Civic (drag car) and I have also seen a Civic beat a top of the line Vette (drivers played a big part of that I admit)..

I have a 2000 black Civic SI, only "engine" mod was just replaced the intake. I bought the car before F&F came out, and never had any desires before or since to make my car into a "rice" car. I bought it cuz I thought it looked good, had enough HP to get out of its way going up a hill, and that is really all I need. I used to have a 87 Mustang GT convertable, and yes, is was 10x faster in every respect compared to my civic, but the gas mileage (And here today, gas for Premium which is all I can use, is $2.59 per gallon!) Even the Civic, I only get 18mpg hiway, and commute 100 miles each day to work and back.. so about $70/wk just in gas for a Civic. Screw getting any car with more than 4 cyliders at this point... I could never afford the gas.

I do have all the electronics in my car though, In dash Pioneer DVD/LCD, Dreamcast, PSX, Xbox, XM Sat radio, DirecTV & Dishnetwork TV, Dolby Digital 5.1 surround, 1000w mono Punch amp pushing 1 12" Punch speaker.. blah blah.. and a bunch of other lights/el string/etc. My car is for electronics, not racing, and quite frankly I am getting to that age (28) where I think it is incredibly stupid to even think about racing a civic, esecially on public streets like 99% of the kids do. I prolly get 2-3 people a day in so called "riced out" Honda's wanting to race me at stop lights.. so they rev up, take off, and I just wave.. what the hell do I have to prove to some punk kid who's only concern is beating you to the next light.. sheash..

You don't need a V8 to be fast. Search "Relentless" and see that ANYTHING can be made stupid fast. God I love that car. And can post vids in a day or 2 if you guys like.
