Ir Mod - Need Sensor
« on: November 16, 2005, 04:11:00 AM »

Hi

I'm going to do the IR mod (power xbox on/off with remote)
XirRemote

But i'm having trouble locating a 3.3V infrared receiver here in Denmark.

TSOP18xxSSV3 from Vishay
GP1UDxxxx from Sharp
NJL71V400A from JRC

It's way to expensive to have such a part shipped from USA, because the shipping cost is many times more expensive than the part iself.

I havn't located such a part in EU or perferably in denmark.

It would be great if someone could help me out, by ether telling my here I can by such a receiver in EU, or buy one for me and put it in an envelope and send to me, it only costs about 1-2dollars/euros. I would be happy to pay for such a good deed.

I hope a get some answeres from fellow modders:)

You could try this website:

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=10379&doy=16m11

But its in UK, but pretty sure they ship to EU.

Thanks for your reply!
There is one I can use from this site, but it's expensive, it costs £3.11 and the shipping to Denmark is £12, and that's too expensive for me!

Any other sugestions?
