I have a box here (1.6 version) that doesn't want to do much other than reboot. When it was brought to me it had a duoX on it. On bank 1 was EvoX and on Bank 2 was Xecuter switching between the two doesn't make a difference it still will not work.
I switched the modchip (I knew it wouldn't work but I tried it anyway) with a SmartXX chip and fired it with no luck.
Here is what it does.
With the original HD in it (Original being what it was when I got it 100gb) it will boot up and then as it is going to in to EvoX it will freeze up. The X on the initial boot up will start to fade a way and you can see EvoX in the background and then it is stuck.
I tried to switch the HD out with another HD (again another futile attempt but I am trying) I fired up the Xbox with the AutoInstaller Deluxe disk. It boots up just fine, I format the drive, enable drive F then proceed to install a dashboard. Before the dash can get fully installed the video goes black for 1 second...I see the X logo from UnleashX and then right back to the menu system of the Auto Installer Deluxe Disk. I have had boxes that have overheated in the past and this one acts different....anyone have any ideas?
