« on: November 10, 2005, 01:46:00 PM »

Ok, so here goes not sure if this is the right place but its the only place I can think of where to post this. Upon coming home today and firing up myxbox I realized that it wasn't going to after it reset two times and then finally seemed like it was done resetting but I got blank screen and red and green blinking eject light was on.??? any thoughts, or ideas as to why this is going on would be much appreciated.

if its a box >1.0, your bios is f*cked. if its a chip, try booting it in deactivated mode (original bios). if your box hasn“t go a modchip, youll have to get one and try if it boots then.

oh and the error is called FRAG ing (Frequent Red And Green light)

I don't think its the mod chip becuase i took it all apart and it looks like a solderless modchip, I did an unplug test with it and still FRAGS, the only wire i see looks like a ground wire that leads to a scew in the mobo. Again this was a premod and impretty much to lazy to do this kind of stuff until now. Also I took the stock hdd and placed that bad leary in and still frags. Im thinking its either a BIOS or a TSOP issue, whats the best way to do this any guides on how to flash this stuff I have all the stuff backed up as I remember following some guide a long time ago. Any ideas or thoughts would be great. PLease bare with my ignorance at this point first time on here in years, forgot a lot of stuff. TIA> !!Oh yes one more thing, I managed to get into the XBOX for some reason one of the times I tried testing the boot process it workeed and slayers main screen loaded up , and from there i tried to load the latest XBMC and it froze at that screen, are there any known issue with the latest XBMC or any way XBMC can affect the BIOS/Boot process thanks again.

It's the weirdest thing man, today I just said for the heck of it ill see what it does and it booted up the first try to Slayers main screen, then from there I tried to run avalaunch and it just hangs at the load screen like before when I tried to run XBMC . I can see it on the network as well.. What the heck gives, doesnt look like a hardware issue at all. If i put a boot cd in there and try you think that might work? or what is the way to get past the FRAG to flash a new bios?
