Hi,

Does someone have a clue where the fuses are on a 1.6 motherboard? trying to recover one of those so any info would be helpful! :)

I'm guessing your motherboard no longer powers up due to a mod attempt or putting the board in the wrong case where the mounting post has shorted the bottom of the motherboard out.

If this is the case there is no fuse to replace, its a small SMD transistor that requires to be replaced.

I offer a very professional repair service in the UK where we swap this part for a very cheap price.

However if you wish to have a go yourself if you look in the tutorials section on the homepage you'll probably find a good guide on how to replace this, although the part is very small and the motherboard can very easily be damaged while trying to replace this part if its not done correctly.

Good luck

PS PM me if you would like information on our services.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply :)

The SMD Transistor is just fine, delivering the 3,25v as it should, I've been modding these boxes since early 2004. I've come up on one of my friends damaged boards having the "frag" issue, but no lifted solderpads, broken traces, melted solder or anything and the dualtranny on the leftside of the LPC port has been changed also. I'm beginning to wonder if the issue lies within the MCPX :(

But thanks anyhow.
