Nonmodded Box Trouble
« on: November 01, 2005, 09:12:00 PM »

Ok, here's the dealio.
I have softmodded about 20 boxes.
I have an unmodded box of my friends, he says won't play games.  So I decided to try soft modding it... I did a hot swap and used xboxhdm.  It returned errors that necessary files were not found on the hd.  (At this point, I think the problem is not with reading game disks, but with corupt hd files) So I used hdlock and atapwd on the drive in attempt to unlock the drive to install the files to the hd using a chiped box.  The drive would not stay unlocked.  Anyway, I furthered the problem by selecting lock/freeze in atapwd.  Now the system can't even boot the drive for a hot swap.  ...anyone have some solutions for my idiocracy???  ...and maybe some ideas that can help me salvage this box??  Tx.  -PigBoT
