Also, in-ear headphones do a great job of blocking out noise without killing your ears.  Or blocking out noise AND killing them if you so wish.  I bought a great pair of Sony's for only $20.  I'm surprised sony could make ANYTHING that good and cheap.

I used to buy £7 Sony's.  But then I discovered £10 Sennheiser MX 350's  happy.gif

I use these at work, they are cheap enough that if they get stolen/broken i dont mind. sound decent, cancel noise, and the biggest thing - they stay in my ears!!! i cant get regular ear buds to stay in my ears for shit. They are VERY comfortable too, they kinda just float in your ear. Im usually wearing them for 8-12 hrs at a time to block out the servers and air cooler, so comfort is a big issue.
